Overview
The Faxon Bantam is the 9mm pistol-caliber-carbine half of Faxon Firearms' First Line, a Glock-magazine-fed AR-9 introduced in 2020 to give value-minded shooters a feature-packed entry into the PCC market. The 16-inch rifle weighs about 6.2 pounds and uses a blowback action with a Faxon nitrided 9mm barrel, a nitrided superfinished 9mm PCC bolt carrier group, an enhanced forged receiver set with a tensioning screw and last-round bolt hold-open, and a free-floating 13-inch aluminum M-LOK handguard. It accepts Glock magazines and ships with an M4 collapsible stock, A2 pistol grip, mil-spec charging handle, and A2 birdcage flash hider. A 10.5-inch braced pistol variant (about 5.72 pounds, 9-inch handguard, SBA3 brace) rounds out the line.
