Overview
The Feather Industries AT-9 is an American 9x19mm blowback semi-automatic carbine-caliber carbine made by Feather Industries of Boulder, Colorado. It uses a lightweight aluminum receiver, a telescoping wire stock that slots into the rear of the receiver, an interchangeable takedown barrel with a locking ring, and modified Uzi-pattern magazines. It is the centerfire counterpart of the more common .22 LR Feather AT-22.

Notes
Shipped with two 25-round Uzi-type magazines; 10-, 32- and 100-round options were available. The 9mm AT-9 is considerably rarer than the .22 LR AT-22. Feather Industries closed in 1995, largely due to the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, which named the model.
Background
Conceived as a cheaper, more practical takedown carbine to rival the ArmaLite AR-7, the AT-9 was named by model on the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and that legislation effectively put Feather Industries out of business in 1995.
