FightLite MXR
FightLite Industries · Personal Defense Weapon · In Production · 2017
Also known as: Multi-Caliber Submachine Gun, MXR Subgun
Overview
The FightLite MXR is a multi-caliber AR-15-style modular firearm platform that can be configured as a pistol, carbine, or select-fire submachine gun. Using a tool-free modular barrel-and-bolt retention system, the user can swap between .22 LR, 9mm NATO, .357 SIG, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, .45 ACP, and FN 5.7x28mm without armorer-level work. Standard pistol-caliber configurations accept a wide range of common magazine types - Glock, SIG, Beretta, CZ, S&W - making the MXR exceptionally adaptable for civilian, law-enforcement, and military users. The monolithic receiver, MIL-STD-1913 rails, M-LOK interfaces, and AR-15-pattern fire control group keep the platform familiar to AR shooters while delivering pistol-caliber softness and suppressor compatibility.

Background
Unveiled at SHOT Show 2017, the MXR was FightLite's answer to the modern PCC arms race - instead of picking one cartridge, Herring's team built a platform that could become any of seven different chamberings in the time it takes to swap a coffee filter.
