Also known as: FN TSR XP, FNH TSR, Tactical Sport Rifle
Overview
The FN TSR (Tactical Sport Rifle) is a bolt-action precision rifle produced by FN Herstal, built on the proven Winchester Model 70 controlled-round-feed action. Introduced around 2010, the TSR combines FN's cold hammer-forged barrel technology with the classic M70 action, creating a precision platform that benefits from both FN's manufacturing expertise and one of the most trusted bolt-action designs in history. The 24-inch fluted barrel with target crown is free-floating within an OD green Hogue over-molded stock with aluminum bedding block. The three-lever tactical sport trigger is adjustable from 3 to 5 pounds and factory-set at 3.75 pounds. The rifle feeds from a 4-round detachable box magazine and features a full-length MIL-STD Picatinny rail with built-in elevation. At approximately 9.6 pounds with the 24-inch barrel, the TSR delivers excellent accuracy with controlled-round-feed reliability.

Notes
The FN TSR uses the Winchester Model 70 type action with controlled-round-feed, which FN manufactures in its Columbia, South Carolina facility. The TSR XP variant is the primary production model, with barrel options of 20 and 24 inches. Weight with 24-inch barrel is 9.6 lbs; the 20-inch barrel variant is lighter. The three-lever tactical sport trigger is adjustable from 3-5 lbs. The rifle also available in .223 Remington and .300 WSM. The controlled-round-feed action with Mauser-type claw extractor provides extremely reliable feeding and extraction.
Background
The FN TSR represents a rare marriage of two legendary firearms lineages: FN Herstal's world-class barrel manufacturing and the Winchester Model 70 action that earned the title 'The Rifleman's Rifle.' FN acquired Winchester's manufacturing rights and used their cold hammer forging expertise to produce barrels that rival custom hand-lapped options.
