Overview

The FoldAR Remnant is an ultra-compact folding AR-15-pattern carbine introduced in 2026, marketed as the most compact AR-15 ever produced. It folds in half - with a suppressor still attached - to an overall folded length of under 12 inches (set here as ~300 mm) while remaining fully assembled, and the patented FoldAR locking system delivers repeatable return-to-zero alignment so optics hold zero through repeated folding. Offered with a 7.5-inch suppressed barrel or an unsuppressed 10.5-inch barrel, in 5.56 NATO (.223 Wylde), .300 BLK, and 7.62x39mm, paired with a Maxim Defense SCW stock or pistol brace. It is compatible with standard AR lowers and features a tool-less quick-change barrel. MSRP is approximately $2,700.

Background

The Remnant folds completely in half with its suppressor still mounted, shrinking a full AR into something that disappears into a fanny pack - and thanks to a patented locking hinge, the red dot still holds zero after you snap it back open.
