Overview
The Franchi Affinity 3 is a semi-automatic shotgun powered by Franchi's Inertia Driven system, a proven operating mechanism shared with parent company Benelli. Designed as a reliable, lightweight all-purpose shotgun, the Affinity 3 features a chrome-lined barrel, stepped ventilated rib with fiber-optic front sight, and Franchi's TSA recoil pad that reduces felt recoil by up to 50%. Available in 12 and 20 gauge with 26" or 28" barrels, it ships with three choke tubes (IC, M, F) and offers a shim-adjustable stock for custom fit.

Background
Franchi, founded in Brescia, Italy in 1868, became part of the Beretta Holding group in 1987 alongside Benelli. The Affinity series represents Franchi's adaptation of Benelli's legendary Inertia Driven system, offering similar reliability at a more accessible price point. The system uses the gun's recoil to cycle the action through a simple rotating bolt and inertia spring, resulting in fewer moving parts and exceptional reliability even in adverse conditions.
