Overview

The Gamo Coyote is a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) bolt-action air rifle produced by the Spanish manufacturer Gamo. Offered in .177, .22, and .25 calibers, it feeds from a 10-shot removable rotary magazine and is charged to a 232 bar (3,365 psi) air reservoir with a self-regulated valve for consistent shot strings. The .22 version drives pellets at roughly 360 m/s (1,180 fps) with alloy ammunition, producing muzzle energies in the 27-40 joule range. It pairs a checkered beechwood ambidextrous stock with a rifled, muzzle-braked and threaded steel barrel, and a two-stage CAT (Custom Action Trigger).

Background

Gamo, founded in Barcelona in 1959, grew from a lead-pellet manufacturer (its name derives from 'Gamo' meaning fallow deer) into one of the world's largest airgun makers. The Coyote was its move into the higher-end pre-charged pneumatic hunting market dominated by British and continental brands.
