Overview

The Gamo Urban is a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) bolt-action air rifle chambered for .22 (5.5mm) pellets. Introduced in 2017 and built in Spain by Industrias El Gamo, it pairs a hammer-forged rifled steel barrel with a regulator-free 105 cc air cylinder, feeding a 10-round removable rotary magazine. The rifle uses Gamo's two-stage adjustable CAT (Custom Action Trigger), an integrated Whisper Maxxim silencer, and an ambidextrous synthetic thumbhole stock, delivering muzzle velocities up to roughly 800 fps and around 30 useful shots per fill. It is widely sold as an affordable entry-level PCP for pest control and target plinking.

Background

The Urban was Gamo's bid to bring the pre-charged pneumatic format—long dominated by premium British and German makers—to a mass-market price point, and it quickly became a popular first PCP among new airgunners.
