Overview
The Glock 19 Gen4 is the fourth generation of the compact Glock 19, a striker-fired, polymer-framed semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Introduced in 2010, the Gen4 added a rough textured frame, interchangeable backstraps to adjust grip size, a reversible enlarged magazine catch, and a dual recoil spring assembly for reduced felt recoil and improved durability. Compact yet full-featured, the Glock 19 is one of the most popular concealed-carry and duty pistols in the world.

Notes
The Gen4's dual recoil spring assembly was a defining change over the Gen3, though early examples saw isolated reliability complaints later resolved by a revised recoil spring. Standard magazine capacity is 15 rounds; it accepts higher-capacity Glock 17/18/33-round magazines.
