Glock 49
Glock Ges.m.b.H. · Pistol · In Production · 2023
Also known as: G49, Glock 49 MOS, G19L
Overview
The Glock 49 is a Gen5 striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum that combines a compact-length G19 grip frame with the full-size G17 slide and 4.49-inch (114 mm) barrel, creating a 'crossover' configuration often described as a factory G19L. It ships in the Modular Optic System (MOS) configuration for direct mounting of red dot sights, and carries the Gen5 feature set including the Glock Marksman Barrel, ambidextrous slide stop, reversible magazine catch and the removal of finger grooves. The longer slide and barrel improve sight radius and muzzle velocity over the G19 while the shorter grip aids concealment.

Background
Enthusiasts had long requested a factory 'G19L' pairing a full-length slide with the compact G19 grip; the G49 finally delivered that crossover after years of shooters building the configuration from mismatched Glock parts.
