Notes
The Gen4 dual recoil spring assembly was particularly beneficial on the .40 S&W G35, as the sharper recoil impulse of the caliber made the softer cycling of the dual-spring system more noticeable than on 9mm models. The interchangeable backstraps allowed competitors to fine-tune their grip for optimal trigger reach. The G35 Gen4 was the dominant platform in USPSA Limited division during the mid-2010s. Compatible with Glock 22 magazines (15 rounds standard).
Background
The G35 Gen4 was the last hurrah of the .40 S&W competition era. As USPSA's Limited division evolved, the G35 Gen4 offered an affordable path onto the podium against custom 2011 race guns costing ten times as much. The dual recoil spring was a game-changer for .40 S&W shooters, noticeably reducing the punishing recoil that had always been the caliber's Achilles' heel in competition.
