Notes
The Gen6 G45 was one of three launch models for the Gen6 platform (alongside the G17 and G19). MSRP is $745, matching the Gen5 MOS pricing while including optics capability as standard. The factory optic plates support RMR, Shield/DeltaPoint Pro/Holosun K, and C-More pattern footprints with a lower bore-axis optic mounting position. The single recoil spring assembly replaces the Gen4/Gen5 dual-spring RSA. The metal slide cover plate replaces the previous plastic version. Two backstrap insert sizes are included for grip customization.
Background
The G45 Gen6 brought Glock's most popular duty crossover into the modern era. The original G45 was already the duty Glock that 'should have existed all along,' and the Gen6 refinements addressed every remaining criticism: the flat-face trigger eliminated the curved shoe that felt dated, the palm swell and thumb ledges improved ergonomics to match purpose-built competitors, and factory optics plates made the MOS premium obsolete. For law enforcement agencies already running the G45 Gen5, the Gen6 offered a compelling upgrade path with full holster compatibility.
