Overview
The Grulla 216 is a best-quality side-by-side double-barrelled shotgun built by Grulla Armas of Eibar, Spain, in the English gunmaking tradition. It is a true five-pin sidelock with a drop-forged steel action, chopper-lump barrels with a concave rib, automatic selective ejectors, and double triggers with an articulated front blade. Each gun is hand-finished and made to the customer's measurements, available in 12, 16, 20, 28 and .410 gauge with rounded or traditional square body actions.

Notes
Offered as the 216 (square body) and 216 RB (rounded body). Highly customisable best gun: Purdey-style rose and scroll engraving, old silver or case-hardened finishes, hand-chequered selected walnut with hand-rubbed oil finish, and a personalised silver oval for owner initials. Weight and barrel length vary with gauge and individual build; figures shown reflect a typical 12-gauge example.
Background
Grulla traces its lineage to a group of master gunmakers who left the Sarasqueta firm in Eibar in 1932 to form Union Armera, taking the crane (grulla in Spanish) as their trademark. The workshop is regarded as one of the last in Eibar building only true sidelock side-by-side shotguns and double rifles by hand.
