Hämmerli SP20
Hämmerli · Pistol · Discontinued · 1998
Also known as: Hammerli SP20, SP-20
Overview
The Hämmerli SP20 is a Swiss single-shot-cadence semi-automatic target pistol chambered in .22 LR, introduced in 1998 for ISSF 25 m and 50 m precision and rapid-fire disciplines. Built around a low bore axis, an anatomically adjustable wrap-around grip with palm shelf, and a finely tuned adjustable two-stage trigger, it was designed to succeed Hämmerli's earlier 208/280-series match pistols and was campaigned at the Olympic level. A parallel SP20 chambered in .32 S&W Long served the centre-fire event.

Background
Hämmerli of Lenzburg, founded in 1863 as a maker of rifle barrels for the Swiss Army, became one of the most decorated names in Olympic target shooting; its SP20 continued that lineage as a purpose-built precision competition pistol.
