Also known as: Heym 26B BBF, Heym 26B Bockbuchsflinte, Heym Model 26 Combination
Overview
The Heym Model 26 BBF (Bockbuchsflinte) is a German over-and-under break-action combination gun pairing a smoothbore shotgun barrel on top with a rifled barrel underneath, built on a lightweight aluminum-alloy receiver. Weighing about 2.9 kg with a 55 cm barrel and 98 cm overall length, it uses a Handspanner manual-cocking (two-loop) mechanism that lets the hunter carry the gun loaded but uncocked. It is a compact, walnut-stocked mountain and driven-game arm from Heym's Gleichamberg workshop, offered in rifle chamberings such as 8x57 IRS, .30-06 and .222 Rem, with other calibers including 9.3x74R available to order.

Background
Heym markets the Model 26 as the only combination-class arm of its kind whose permanently soldered barrel bundle can fire eight shots without shifting point of impact, a claim aimed at the European driven-hunt and mountain-stalking traditions where a single gun must answer for both furred and feathered game.
