Overview
The Hi-Point YC9 'Yeet Cannon' is a polymer-framed, blowback-operated 9x19mm semi-automatic pistol introduced by Hi-Point Firearms after a 2020 fan poll in which 'Yeet Cannon' won the right to officially name a Hi-Point model. Built on the company's familiar low-cost zinc-alloy slide architecture, the YC9 adds a 4.12-inch threaded barrel, optics-ready slide cuts, an updated 10-round magazine, a 1911-style thumb safety that locks the slide when engaged, and adjustable Glock-pattern sights. It retains the +P-rated chamber and lifetime warranty that have made Hi-Point pistols a staple of the American budget handgun market.

Notes
Despite its 'Yeet Cannon' branding, the YC9 is a full-size service pistol - not a slimline subcompact. Width at the grip is roughly 1.4 inches and unloaded weight (with optic adapter) is about 35.7 oz.
Background
The 'Yeet Cannon' name began as an internet joke about Hi-Point's blocky aesthetic, then won an official 2020 naming poll on Hi-Point's Facebook page - at which point the company surprised everyone by actually shipping a pistol with the name molded into the slide.
