Background
Despite being marketed as a civilian sporter, the MR762 shares roughly 80 percent parts commonality with the military HK417 and is widely considered one of the most accurate semi-automatic 7.62 NATO rifles in factory production. H&K USA timed its 2009 launch to capitalize on the post-Iraq surge in 7.62 NATO precision interest among American shooters.
