Overview
The Howa M1100 is a Japanese bolt-action rimfire rifle introduced around 2020 by Howa Machinery and imported to North America by Legacy Sports International. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, it pairs a 457 mm (18 in) varmint-contour barrel cut with HK-style polygonal rifling and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle to a detachable ten-round steel magazine and an oversized tactical bolt handle. Marketed for plinking, small-game hunting, varmint control, and target shooting, it is also offered in .22 WMR and .17 HMR chamberings and in synthetic, OD-green, and walnut stock options.
