Overview
The HS95 is a Croatian semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, developed by HS Produkt in the mid-1990s to give the newly independent Croatia a domestic service sidearm. It uses a traditional tilting-barrel Browning locked-breech action with an external hammer and a double-action/single-action trigger, and its all-steel frame makes it notably heavy for its class. Drawing heavily on the SIG P220 family layout, it was fielded in modest numbers before being superseded by later HS Produkt designs.

Notes
Developed to replace the earlier PHP pistol; production ran only a few years before HS Produkt shifted to the striker-fired HS2000/XD line. Widely noted as closely derived from the SIG P220/P226 pattern.
Background
Born during the Croatian War of Independence, the HS95 was HS Produkt's first serious pistol and a stepping stone that led the company from a wartime workshop to the global success of the striker-fired HS2000, later marketed worldwide as the Springfield Armory XD.
