Overview

The Huglu 201 is a traditional side-by-side double-barreled 12 gauge break-action shotgun built by Turkey's Huglu Hunting Firearms Cooperative. The exposed-hammer HRZ model pairs classic external hammers and a sidelock-style forged receiver with modern features including a 3-inch chamber, steel-shot proofing, and a set of interchangeable screw-in chokes. It is marketed as an affordable, classically styled hunting and clay gun with a Turkish walnut stock.

Background

Huglu takes its name from the small mountain village in Turkey's Konya province where the gunmaking cooperative was founded in 1962, and where hundreds of local craftsmen still hand-finish and engrave its shotguns.
