Overview
The Huglu Ventus is a 12-gauge over-and-under break-action shotgun built by the Turkish maker Huglu for hunting and clay-target shooting. It pairs a low-profile, jewel-polished and laser-engraved steel receiver with chrome-lined barrels, a ventilated top rib and a fiber-optic front sight. The Ventus uses a selective single trigger, automatic ejectors and five interchangeable choke tubes, and is fitted with a checkered Turkish walnut stock. Chambered for 3-inch (76mm) shells, it is also rated for modern steel shot, making it a versatile entry-level upland and sporting gun.

Background
Huglu takes its name from the village of Huglu in Turkey's Konya province, where a cooperative of village gunsmiths formalized into Huglu Av Tufekleri Kooperatifi in 1962, growing from a centuries-old local tradition of handmade hunting guns into one of Turkey's largest shotgun exporters.
