The Husqvarna Model 46 is a Swedish bolt-action sporting rifle built by Husqvarna Vapenfabrik on the commercial Mauser m/96 action. Produced from roughly 1927 to 1942, it was offered as a hunting rifle rather than a military arm, chambered most commonly in 6.5x55mm Swedish as well as 8x57mm, 9.3x57mm and 9.3x62mm. The cock-on-closing m/96 action, hinged floorplate and walnut sporting stock made it a smooth, accurate and well-regarded big-game rifle prized by collectors for its high-quality Swedish steel and workmanship.
