Overview
The Ithaca Mag-10 was a heavy 10-gauge gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun, the world's first commercially successful self-loading 10-gauge. Chambered for the 3.5-inch 10-gauge Super Magnum, it tamed the cartridge's brutal recoil with the CounterCoil gas system built into the front of the magazine tube and a Roto-Forged barrel locking via a vertically tilting bolt. Its heavy weight, two-round magazine, and mixed reliability limited commercial success.

Notes

Background
