Overview
The IWI Arad 5 is a piston-driven semi-automatic AR-platform rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the first version of IWI's Arad now manufactured in the United States (Tennessee) by IWI US. It uses a two-position short-stroke gas piston ready for suppressed and unsuppressed fire, IWI's patented CamLok barrel-lockup system securing a free-floated cold-hammer-forged chrome-lined 16-inch barrel in a semi-monolithic upper, forged 7075-T6 receivers, an M-LOK modular handguard, and a six-position B5 stock and grip. It ships with a 30-round PMAG.

Background
IWI brought its Israeli-designed Arad rifle stateside and rebuilt it on American soil in Tennessee as the Arad 5, pairing a two-position suppressor-ready piston with its proprietary CamLok barrel-lockup so the free-floated barrel can be swapped without losing zero.
