Overview
The Kalashnikov USA KALI 9 is the California-compliant version of the KR-9, an American-made 9x19mm semi-automatic rifle based on the Russian Vityaz platform. To meet California restrictions it uses a fixed Vityaz-style triangle stock, a compliant fin grip with a thumb rest, and a simulated (non-functional) suppressor on the threaded muzzle. It runs the same closed-bolt blowback action with an out-of-battery safety and feeds from steel-lined polymer 10-round magazines using a double-column, double-feed design.
