Overview

The Kalashnikov USA KP-9 is a civilian-legal, semi-automatic-only 9x19mm AK-style pistol based on the Russian PP-19-01 Vityaz submachine gun. American-made, it operates on a closed-bolt blowback system and feeds from steel-lined polymer magazines using a double-column, double-feed design. The 9.25-inch barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for suppressors and ships with a factory flash suppressor. A QD sling mount sits at the rear of the receiver and a hinged top cover with attached Picatinny rail allows optics mounting.
