Kel-Tec PR-3AT
Kel-Tec CNC Industries, Inc. · Pistol · In Production · 2026
Also known as: PR3AT
Overview
The Kel-Tec PR-3AT is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP, produced by Kel-Tec CNC Industries, Inc. The double-action-only trigger provides a long, consistent pull that serves as an inherent safety mechanism, making it particularly well-suited for defensive carry where simplicity under stress is paramount. With a 2.9-inch barrel, this firearm prioritizes concealability for everyday carry while still delivering adequate ballistic performance at defensive distances. At 274g (9.7 oz) unloaded, this lightweight firearm is optimized for comfortable all-day carry without creating undue fatigue or printing concerns.

Notes
The PR-3AT's top-loading, magazine-free design is shared with Kel-Tec's PR57 pistol. Loading is accomplished either one round at a time through the top of the action or via the included 7-round stripper clips. The absence of a traditional box magazine allows the grip to hold more cartridges than would otherwise be possible in such a compact frame. A 10-round capacity variant (PR-3AT 10) is available for jurisdictions with magazine capacity restrictions, featuring a shorter grip at 3.93 inches in height.
Background
The PR-3AT continues Kel-Tec's tradition of unconventional firearms engineering. By eliminating the detachable box magazine and using a top-loading integral magazine with stripper clips, Kel-Tec managed to fit 13+1 rounds of .380 ACP into a pistol that weighs less than 10 ounces and fits in the palm of a hand. The design borrows the rotary barrel lockup and top-loading concept from the company's PR57 pistol, applying it to the pocket pistol segment that Kel-Tec helped popularize with the original P-3AT.
