Overview

The Kel-Tec PR3AT is an ultra-light micro-compact .380 ACP pocket pistol introduced in 2026 as the spiritual successor to the long-running Kel-Tec P3AT. Its defining feature is a magazine-free, top-loading design: instead of a detachable box magazine, rounds are loaded into a fixed internal column from the top using seven-round stripper clips, and a rotary (rotating) barrel action manages recoil. The result is a flat, snag-free pocket gun holding 13+1 rounds of .380 ACP in a package weighing under 10 ounces empty.

Notes

Magazine-free 'clip-fed' design ships with two seven-round stripper clips; 10-round configurations are offered for capacity-restricted states. One of the highest-capacity .380 pocket pistols on the market for its size.

Background

Kel-Tec revived the magazine-free pistol concept for the smartphone era: the PR3AT ditches the detachable magazine entirely, loading like a stripper-clip-fed rifle so a pocket .380 can carry a rifle-style 13 rounds without a protruding mag.
