Also known as: Crickett, Crickett G2, My First Rifle
Overview
The Keystone Crickett is a youth-oriented single-shot, bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle (and accepting .22 Short and .22 Long), built by Keystone Sporting Arms to introduce young and new shooters to marksmanship. Scaled down to fit small shooters with an 11.5-inch length of pull and a weight of around three pounds, the Crickett pairs a 16.1-inch blued barrel with a manually cocked bolt and a rebounding firing-pin block that prevents discharge until the rifle is deliberately cocked. It feeds a single cartridge at a time, reinforcing the safe, deliberate handling habits the platform is designed to teach. The receiver ships drilled and tapped for Crickett scope mounts and comes with iron sights - a ramp front and adjustable rear - making it a long-running staple of youth shooting programs across the United States.
