Overview
The Kimar M.302 C.1861 (also marketed as the Umarex Mod. 302) is a compact 6mm blank-firing pistol produced by Kimar, the blank- and alarm-gun division of Italy's Armi Chiappa group. Chambered for the 6mm Flobert (6mm K) blank cartridge, it feeds from an internal seven-round linear rod magazine that advances mechanically with each double-action trigger pull, and a small window on the left side displays the remaining round count. Like all Kimar blank guns it is die-cast from ZAMAK zinc alloy to prevent conversion to live fire, and it was sold as an inexpensive starter, dog-training and signal pistol.

'C.1861' is the article/catalogue designation under which the Kimar Mod. 302 was distributed (Umarex Mod. 302). The gun is DAO with no self-loading action; the rod magazine is cycled by the trigger stroke. Contemporary reviews noted spray-painted finishing and occasional blank misfires. Long out of production.
Background
Because ZAMAK zinc alloy shatters rather than withstands chamber pressure, Kimar (like all EU blank-gun makers) casts its guns from it specifically so they cannot be bored out and converted to fire live ammunition, turning a manufacturing shortcut into a legal safety feature.
