Overview
The Kimber Aegis Elite is a series of single-action, hammer-fired 1911-pattern semi-automatic pistols built for concealed carry and defensive use. Introduced in 2018, the line comprises the full-size Custom (5-inch barrel), the compact Pro (4-inch barrel), and the subcompact Ultra (3-inch barrel), all chambered primarily in 9mm Luger and .45 ACP. Each pistol features a stainless steel frame and slide, red and green fiber optic sights, a match-grade barrel, skeletonized aluminum trigger, full-length guide rod, G-10 grips, and Kimber's 24 lines-per-inch front strap checkering for an enhanced firing grip.

Capacity and dimensions vary by variant: the Custom holds 8-9 rounds with a 5-inch barrel, the Pro 8-9 rounds with a 4-inch barrel, and the Ultra 7-8 rounds with a 3-inch barrel. An optics-ready Custom OI model ships with a factory-mounted red dot sight.
Background
The Aegis Elite line revived and modernized Kimber's earlier Aegis II 1911 series, swapping the older night sights for bright fiber optic sights and adding G-10 grips and refined front-strap texturing aimed at the concealed-carry market.
