Kimber Montana
Kimber Manufacturing · Rifle · In Production · 2003
Also known as: Kimber 84M Montana, Kimber 8400 Montana
Overview
The Kimber Montana is an ultralight stainless steel bolt-action hunting rifle built on Kimber's controlled-round-feed Model 84M action (with the larger Model 8400 action used for magnum chamberings). Designed as a hard-use mountain rifle, it pairs a stainless steel barreled action with a reinforced Kevlar-carbon fiber synthetic stock, match-grade barrel, chamber and trigger, both pillar and glass bedding, a three-position wing safety and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. The 84M Montana weighs barely over 5 pounds, making it one of the lightest production bolt-action hunting rifles available.
