Kimber Mountain Ascent

Also known as: Kimber 84M Mountain Ascent
Overview
The Kimber Mountain Ascent is a lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle built on Kimber's 84M short action and chambered in .308 Winchester among other calibers. Engineered for mountain and backcountry hunting, it pairs a fluted, match-grade stainless steel barrel with a spiral-fluted bolt and a Kevlar/carbon-fiber reinforced stock to keep overall weight to roughly 5 pounds 6 ounces. A removable muzzle brake helps tame the recoil of its full-power cartridges in such a light package.

Background
The Mountain Ascent embodies Kimber's reputation for ultralight hunting rifles, shedding ounces through fluting, carbon-fiber stock construction, and a slim profile favored by sheep and high-country hunters who carry the rifle far more than they shoot it.
