Overview
The Kolar Max Trap is a purpose-built American trap shotgun made by Kolar Arms of Racine, Wisconsin. Chambered in 12 gauge with 2.75-inch chambers, it is a break-action gun offered in over/under, over-single, unsingle, and single-barrel configurations with barrels up to 34 inches, extra-long forcing cones, and interchangeable choke tubes. It features an adjustable vented rib for tuning point of impact, a coil-spring mechanical trigger adjustable for finger length, a detachable trigger group, and a highly configurable English walnut stock with a six-way adjustable comb.

Offered in three model families: the T/A high-profile (34-inch unsingle, over-single, or 30/32-inch over/under), the Low Profile (34-inch over-single or 30/32-inch over/under), and the T/S single barrel. Rib adjustability ranges roughly 60-150% point of impact depending on model. An optional factory release trigger is available and the T/S single lists a nominal 3.5 lb pull.
Background
Kolar Arms grew out of a precision CNC machining business in Racine, Wisconsin, and its trap guns became a fixture on American singles, handicap, and doubles trap lines thanks to interchangeable trigger groups and unsingle/over-single barrel sets that let a shooter run the whole game from one receiver.
