Notes
The ORSIS 12.7 / KSV is a relatively new platform with limited combat documentation. Marketed as a counter-sniper and light-armor neutralization weapon, it competes with the older KSVK 12.7 and OSV-96 in Russian service.
Background
ORSIS unveiled the KSV at ARMY-2022 specifically as a Russian-made replacement for Western anti-materiel rifles like the Barrett M82 and Accuracy International AX50, which became unavailable to Russia after sanctions. The dual-caliber design - accepting both 12.7x108mm Soviet and 12.7x99mm NATO - reflects an aspiration to capture export markets aligned with neither Cold War bloc.
