Also known as: Lamperd 37mm Less Lethal Multi Launcher, Lamperd 5+1 37mm Double Action Launcher

Overview

The Lamperd 37mm Double Action Launcher is a Canadian pump-action, magazine-fed less-lethal launcher built as a 5+1-shot 37mm crowd-control shotgun-class weapon by Lamperd Less Lethal of Sarnia, Ontario. Weighing under 4.7 pounds, marketed as one of the world's lightest multi-shot launchers, it feeds from a detachable box magazine that can be stripped and swapped like a patrol rifle for rapid, sustained deployment. A five-position collapsible stock allows full extension or a compact CQB configuration, and the slimline sub-2.5-inch-wide frame chambers a variety of special 37mm munitions including impact rounds and the Aerial Burst Pepper round.

Background

Lamperd promoted the launcher as the world's lightest multi-shot less-lethal launcher, replacing bulky 15-pound rotary designs with a rifle-style magazine swap so an officer could carry pre-loaded 37mm magazines on their load-bearing gear.
