LWRC IC-9 SBR
LWRC International · Carbine · In Production · 2025
Also known as: LWRC IC9 SBR, IC-9
Overview
The LWRC IC-9 SBR is a short-barreled rifle version of LWRC International's IC-9 pistol-caliber carbine, chambering 9x19mm Parabellum and feeding from US-made Glock-pattern magazines. It mates LWRC's AR-15-pattern ergonomics with a chamber-ring delayed blowback operating system for softer recoil, and adds a threaded barrel, M-LOK handguard and fully ambidextrous controls. As an SBR it requires an NFA tax stamp.

Notes
Action is a chamber-ring delayed blowback rather than a simple direct blowback; barrel length varies by configuration (the compact IC-9K SBR uses a 5.7-inch barrel, the standard SBR an 8.5-inch barrel). Capacity reflects the standard 27-round Glock-pattern magazine.
Background
LWRC International built its reputation on short-stroke gas-piston AR rifles for special operations; the IC-9 marks the company applying that gas-gun ergonomic pedigree to a blowback pistol-caliber carbine that runs on ubiquitous Glock magazines.
