Also known as: MPA Defender 30K, MPA 30K

Overview

The MasterPiece Arms Defender 30K is a compact, large-format blowback pistol in 9mm, the latest evolution of MPA's MAC-style Defender platform introduced in 2026. It pairs a steel upper with an aluminum lower and runs MPA's signature Defender bolt together with a standard AR-15 fire control group for a familiar, crisp trigger. Optimized for Glock 17/19 magazines, it ships with a side-folder hinge and buffer tube adapter, leaving it ready to accept a brace or rear support. MasterPiece Arms bills it as the lightest subcompact 9mm in its PCC-style class.

Notes

Large-format semi-automatic pistol descended from the MAC-10/M11 lineage. Uses Glock 17/19 magazines (commonly 33/34-round sticks). Sold as a pistol with a side-folding hinge and buffer-tube adapter rather than a braced or stocked configuration. Barrel length figures vary by configuration (threaded barrels around 4.5 inches).

Background

MasterPiece Arms keeps the MAC-10 silhouette alive for the modern era: the 30K swaps the old crude open-bolt fire control for a drop-in AR-15 trigger group and Glock magazines, turning a 1970s submachine-gun shape into a parts-friendly large-format pistol.
