Notes
The M18 is manufactured by Mauser, a subsidiary of the Blaser Group. The 'People's Rifle' tagline positions it as the budget entry in the Blaser Group lineup (below the Sauer 100). Weight: ~3100g (6.8 lbs). Barrel length: 560mm (22") standard. The Fenris variant features an adjustable stock for precision shooting. The Pure variant is a stripped-down version for hunters who want simplicity. The Extreme features a fluted and threaded barrel with carbon stock. Sub-MOA accuracy guarantee is a notable value proposition at this price point.
Background
The Mauser M18 was deliberately branded as 'The People's Rifle' - an explicit callback to Paul Mauser's original mission of making reliable, accurate rifles accessible to ordinary citizens. The M18 brought the controlled-round-feed Mauser action, arguably the most influential bolt-action design in firearms history, to a price point that would have been unthinkable for a German-made rifle a generation ago.
