Overview
The Mauser M1935 Brazilian is a bolt-action service rifle built by Mauser-Werke A.G. at Oberndorf am Neckar on the company's commercial Standardmodell pattern for a Brazilian Army contract. Chambered in 7x57mm Mauser and fed from a five-round internal magazine loaded by stripper clip, it became the standard Brazilian infantry rifle of the late interwar period. Receivers carry the Brazilian national crest, and the rifle was supplied as a long rifle alongside a much rarer short-rifle pattern.
