Overview
The Mauser M 98 is a luxury bolt-action hunting rifle built on the original controlled-round-feed Mauser 98 action, reintroduced by Mauser Jagdwaffen in Isny im Allgaeu, Germany. It pairs a forged double-square-bridge steel receiver, full-length claw extractor and three-position wing safety with a hand-finished walnut sporter stock and express iron sights. Chambered in classic calibres such as .30-06 Springfield, .308 Winchester, 7x57 and 8x57 IS, it is a hand-built continuation of the action widely regarded as the ancestor of all modern bolt-action rifles.
