The Micro Uzi is the smallest member of the Uzi submachine gun family, introduced by Israel Military Industries in 1986. At 486mm extended and just 1.5kg empty, it is essentially a machine pistol firing from a closed bolt at a blistering 1,200 rounds per minute. The closed-bolt design improves accuracy over the original open-bolt Uzi, while a tungsten-weighted bolt assists in slowing the cyclic rate to a controllable level. It is widely used by special operations and protective details.
