Overview
The MKE JNG-90, commercially known as the Bora-12, is Turkey's first indigenously developed bolt-action sniper rifle, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. Developed through a collaboration between the Turkish Gendarmerie and the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKEK) between 2004 and 2008, it features a free-floating cold hammer-forged barrel mounted on an aluminum chassis with a polymer pistol grip and fully adjustable buttstock. The rifle is capable of achieving 0.3 MOA accuracy at 100 meters with match-grade ammunition, making it one of the most precise military sniper rifles in Turkish service. The massive muzzle brake significantly reduces felt recoil, allowing rapid follow-up shots during sustained engagement scenarios.
