Overview

The MTs 55-1M is a Soviet single-shot .22 Long Rifle free pistol built by TsKIB SOO in Tula for precision 50-metre target shooting. A modernization of the MTs 55-1 developed from 1961, it features a long match-grade barrel, an adjustable set (hair) trigger, an anatomical wooden target grip and a sight radius adjustable from 355 to 400 mm. Built in small batches to individual order, it was intended for the ISSF free-pistol discipline.

Background

A dedicated ISSF free pistol, the MTs 55-1M is hand-fitted in small runs by Tula's TsKIB SOO sporting-arms bureau, with a sight rail that slides to tune the sight radius to each shooter's eye.
