Overview
The Neostead 2000 (NS2000) is a pump-action bullpup combat shotgun developed in South Africa. It is chambered in 12 gauge and feeds from twin overhead tubular magazines holding six rounds each, selected via a switch that lets the operator alternate between buckshot, slugs, or less-lethal loads. Its most unusual feature is a reversed pump-action cycle in which the operator pushes the slide forward rather than pulling it rearward, with spent cases ejecting downward beneath the receiver, making it fully ambidextrous.

Background
The shotgun's name combines those of its two South African designers, Neophytou and Stead. Its forward-pumping action and downward ejection give it a distinctive silhouette that has made it a recurring choice in video games and popular media.
