Overview
The Neostead 2000 (NS2000) is a South African 12-gauge bullpup pump-action shotgun designed by Tony Neophytou and manufactured by Truvelo. It uses two over-the-barrel tubular magazines feeding a single barrel, with a manual selector that lets the shooter draw from the left tube, the right tube, or alternate between them, allowing two different ammunition types to be carried at once. Its pump is operated in reverse, the support hand pushing the slide forward to open the action, keeping it away from the muzzle. The bullpup layout packs a 570 mm barrel into a 690 mm overall length.

Notes
A commercial failure, with only around 200 units ever made, most remaining in South Africa as collector items. Short-stroking the pump could jam two shells onto the lifter at once, requiring field-stripping to clear.
Background
The Neostead was the first production shotgun to mount two magazine tubes over a single barrel, a concept later independently adopted by Kel-Tec for the KSG, and its reverse-operating pump pre-emptively solved the hand-forward-of-muzzle hazard the KSG would later suffer from.
