Also known as: Alpha Hawk
Overview
The Nighthawk Custom Alpha Hawk is a Commander-size, high-end carry 1911 introduced in 2026 and chambered in .45 ACP. Built on a forged frame with a machined-in magwell and fully dehorned for snag-free carry, it features a 4.25-inch match-grade bull barrel with an integrated muzzle compensator (a precision-machined 'chunk port') to tame recoil. It is designed exclusively for red-dot use: there is no front sight, and the pistol ships with Nighthawk's Interchangeable Optic System (IOS) plate for RMR-footprint optics. G10 RailScales inserts provide the rear slide serrations.

Notes
Correction to provisional briefing: the Alpha Hawk is a single-action 1911 semi-automatic pistol in .45 ACP, not a 9mm DA/SA revolver. Confirmed across all4shooters, Guns.com, American Rifleman, and USA Gun Shop coverage of Nighthawk's 2026 SHOT Show releases. Commander-size: 4.25-inch barrel, ships with one 7-round and one 8-round single-stack magazine. MSRP approximately $5,199. Weight and overall length not published by the manufacturer; values shown are typical for a forged-frame Commander-size 1911 and should be treated as estimates (data_confidence reduced accordingly).
Background
Nighthawk took the carry 1911 to its logical extreme: the Alpha Hawk deletes the front sight entirely, builds the compensator into the barrel, and machines the magwell into a forged frame, betting that a five-figure, red-dot-only Commander is what the modern concealed-carry purist actually wants.
