Norinco NP22

Also known as: NP-22, NC226
Overview
The Norinco NP22 is a Chinese semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and produced by China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO). A close copy of the SIG Sauer P226, it uses a modified Browning linkless short-recoil, locked-breech action with a traditional double-action/single-action trigger and a frame-mounted decocking lever. The pistol pairs a forged steel slide with a lightweight aluminum-alloy frame featuring an integral accessory rail, a chrome-lined barrel, a firing-pin block, three-dot sights, and a double-column 15-round magazine. It is widely exported as an affordable alternative to its Western pattern, particularly on the Canadian civilian market.

Background
The NP22 is one of several NORINCO export pistols cloning iconic Western designs; where the NZ-85B copies the CZ 75 pattern, the NP22 reproduces the SIG Sauer P226, giving budget-conscious shooters access to the P226 form factor.
