OTs-126
TsKIB SOO · Carbine · Limited Production · 2018
Also known as: OTS-126, OTs126
Overview
The OTs-126 is a semi-automatic civilian carbine developed by Russia's TsKIB SOO (the Central Design and Research Bureau of Sporting and Hunting Arms, a Tula-based design house associated with KBP). Unveiled at the ARMY-2018 International Military-Technical Forum, it is a civilian-legal derivative of the KBP PP-2000 submachine gun chambered in 9x19mm. To comply with Russian civilian firearm law it is restricted to semi-automatic fire, fitted with a reduced 10-round magazine and a lengthened barrel to meet hunting-carbine dimensional requirements. TsKIB SOO designed a new upper receiver covered in Picatinny rail and made it compatible with AR-15-pattern stocks.

Background
The OTs-126 is what happens when a Russian special-forces submachine gun goes hunting: TsKIB SOO took the compact PP-2000 PDW, stretched its barrel, throttled it to semi-auto, and bolted on AR-15-friendly rails to make it legal for civilian buyers.
