Overview
The Parker Brothers BH is a high-grade, side-by-side, break-action double-barreled shotgun, sitting near the top of Parker's grading ladder as Grade 5 in the hammerless line. Built strictly as a custom-order gun, the BH carried fine hand engraving, checkered side panels with carved fleur-de-lis, and stocks of the finest Circassian walnut. Barrels were offered in Extra Fine Damascus and later in Titanic and Acme fluid steel, all mounted on Parker's celebrated boxlock hammerless action with twin triggers and a top lever.

Notes
Parker Brothers shotguns were graded by quality, from the plain Trojan and VH up through GH, DH, CH, BH, AH and A-1 Special; the BH is Grade 5. An 'H' denotes the hammerless action; fitting ejectors changed the designation to BHE. About 1,034 hammerless BH guns were made. Production passed to Remington in 1934, which continued Parker guns until about 1942.
Background
Parker Brothers was so revered that the firm became known as 'Old Reliable', and a custom-ordered BH with its carved fleur-de-lis side panels and Circassian walnut stock represents Parker at its finest short of the exhibition-grade A-1 Special and Invincible guns.
